Hi, I’m Kate!

I am a recent Stanford graduate, having earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Product Realization in June 2024. My love for designing and making things began when my dad gave me my first LEGO set and introduced me to the show How It’s Made.

Outside of school, I spent my childhood playing sports. Going into high school, I decided to focus solely on beach volleyball. Through the sport, I’ve met some of my greatest friends and learned from coaches and mentors who have influenced all aspects of my life. I earned a scholarship to play on the Division I Stanford Beach Volleyball Team and was previously a member of USA Beach Volleyball, competing internationally and representing my country. I finished my four years at Stanford as the winningest player in program history and served as team captain for three of those years. My time on The Farm was incredibly fulfilling and I am proud to be an alumni of that program.

After Stanford, I had the opportunity to complete a fifth year at UCLA, where I played on the indoor volleyball team while earning a certificate in Project Management.

When I’m not playing beach volleyball or working, you can find me in the gym, working on a sewing project, helping my dad with his cars, or down at the beach enjoying the sun!
